“Driven by an inherent love and fascination with typography, the famous ‘H’ illuminated sign once seen outside of Binion’s Horseshoe Casino is the source of inspiration for this double-exposure photographic, mixed media piece. This piece is part of an exploratory series of works that visually suggest a simple abstraction in imagery through the use of a stacked square, or rectangle. The result is a highly-manipulated fragmentation that proposes a randomly reorganized subject matter in order to create a new view on a potentially once identifiable landscape.”
