THE ELLIS GALLERY

We present four curated exhibitions per year in our main exhibition space, The Ellis Gallery, featuring established and emerging artists. We are always looking for new artists and guest curators to work with, especially those from the Southeastern US!

Exhibitions include educational community programming like Artist and Curator Talks, artist-led tours and workshops, as well as Opening and Closing Receptions. Receptions are held in conjunction with the monthly neighborhood event Starland First Fridays. These associated events are always free and open to the public.

THE SUPPORTER GALLERY

Our Supporter Gallery is dedicated to showcasing local and regional emerging artists. 3 group exhibitions per year are curated by Programs & Studio Coordinator, Samantha Mack.

IMPACT ARTS + CULTURE MAGAZINE

IMPACT Magazine is Savannah’s only publication dedicated exclusively to arts and culture. Designed as a highly visual, full-color, 9×12” glossy magazine, each semi-annual issue showcases some of the most compelling artists, writers, and cultural voices working in the South today. Each edition features in-depth artist interviews and long-form writing on art, culture, and identity, alongside poetry, fiction, comics, music and film reviews, and more. Grounded in Savannah and outward-looking by design, IMPACT celebrates the Southeast as a site of serious creative production and cultural conversation.

ON::VIEW ARTIST RESIDENCY

The ON::View Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space, lodging, and $500 stipend for an artist or curator to complete a new project, continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, allowing the resident’s work to be on view to the community at all times. Visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the resident's process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like lectures, workshops, and public art projects offer creative ways to interact with the public. ARTS Southeast’s international ON::View Artist Residency is the only one of its kind in Savannah and is proud to provide financial support, studio space, and living accommodations to creatives from around the globe working in all media.
