MAGAZINE SUBMISSIONS

Before you submit your work, we encourage you to read previous issues of IMPACT Magazine for a look at past content and contributors. IMPACT is released twice per year, in May and October.

All submissions are reviewed carefully by our editorial team, but unfortunately we can’t respond to them all. If we’re interested, you will hear from us. Please include your contact information including phone number, instagram handle and website as well as a CV with all submission materials. We accept submissions on a rolling basis.

Story Pitches

Submit your pitch for a written feature or photo essay about art and artists in Savannah & the Southeastern US (500 - 2000 words for writing). We are looking for unheard perspectives and venturesome voices. Pitches should be for previously non-published pieces not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. Pitches should be no longer than 1 page sent as a PDF to info@artssoutheast.org. Please include a brief bio, CV, and links to any past writings.

Funny Pages

Send us a comic strip, single page comic or illustration featuring your original artwork. Submissions in traditional or digital media, with or without text, are welcome. Artists may submit up to three works. 

Please send your submission to us via WeTransfer (info@artssoutheast.org). Images should be print ready 300dpi and sized at 100%, maximum size: 8 x 11” saved as PDFs. Your file name must include your name and the title of the work, i.e. FirstNameLastName_Title. Please email us with your bio, Instagram handle and website link.

Short Stories & Poetry

Submit up to one page of original poetry (a full-page poem, or a selection of short poems), or a short story of up to three pages. Recent writing is encouraged, especially work which has never before been published. We welcome both traditional and experimental forms.
