emily earl
Emily Earl received a BFA in Photography in 2007 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She co-founded Sulfur Studios in 2014, and was the Director of Public Relations & Special Events from 2014 - 2020 before taking on the role of Executive Director. Earl is also the co-founder and Editor of IMPACT Arts & Culture Magazine.
In 2017, she won the Portfolio 2017 High Museum Purchase Award at the APG Gallery in Atlanta. In 2020, work from her Late Night Polaroids series was displayed at the High Museum in In Between: Adolescence Through the Camera alongside five other photographers including Bruce Davidson and Mary Ellen Mark. From August 2020 - April 2021, her solo exhibition, Late Night Polaroids, Photographs by Emily Earl was on display at Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center in Savannah, GA as part of the Jepson Center’s #art912 program. Her first monograph, Late Night Polaroids was published in conjunction with the exhibition and is available for purchase. Earl has work in the Permanent Collections of Atlanta’s HIGH Museum and Savannah’s Telfair Museum. She has shown in New York, California, throughout the Southeastern US and France. She also has work in many private collections in the US and Europe and has been featured by The New Yorker and Polaroid, among others.
