“The linocut is a landscape that transitions from Midwest cornfields to the live oaks of the Lowcountry. It represents a time in my life when I had to begin again. I was in a new location, with a new job and in search of a new community. The gelli print background also adds to the concept - the linocut over the print reinvents the composition. Similarly, I had to reassess my identity and goals in my life since moving to Savannah.”
