ARTS Southeast is pleased to host JANA MARIE CARIDDI in the on::View residency from
may 8th - june 7th, 2025
About the Project
During her time as an artist in residence at ARTS Southeast, Jana will be working on pieces for her exhibition at the SCAD Museum of Art. The show will feature sculptural paintings and a wall-sized installation of drawings that raise questions about our internal state in relation to our body and our surroundings. At what point do they coalesce? Through visceral imagery, texture, and sculptural approaches to painting, she conjures worlds from memory and partial recall, allowing feeling to take over logic.
Artist Talk: Saturday, May 17th at 2PM
Project Finale: Friday, June 6th, from 5 - 9PM in conjunction with First Fridays in Starland
