For our second Juried Supporter Exhibition of the year, we asked our community of Artist Supporters to share their visual language. Through distinct visual vocabularies and signature styles, the works in Lexicon communicate as only art can. Some artists incorporated existing symbologies – from sheet music and maps to diagrams and constellations – adapting them into new forms of expression. Others considered how text itself might be used to say something more than the sum of its parts: what happens when it is repeated, re-contextualized, or even disintegrated? From expressions of friendship and love to calls for contemplation, Lexicon invites us to hear new stories.
