Logan Ryland Dandridge is a time-based artist from Richmond, Virginia who examines the poetics of sacred music, mythology, and the surreal. As a researcher, he explores ancestry, diaspora, and spirituality through an interdisciplinary practice, developing themes of Black ontology, collective memory, and sacred music into an experimental continuum of liberation, repose and play. During his time in the ON::View Residency, Dandridge will finalize audio recordings and sound mixing for a feature film project, and will work on an extended written text that has become an integral part of his process. He will present this evolving text as a projection within the ON::View studio, along with a hybrid blend of images, video, light, and sound, transforming the ON::View space into an experimental site of reflection.
