“Last year, I made a promise to myself: create every single day. What started as a personal challenge transformed into the backbone of my artistic practice. Each day, whether it’s for 5 minutes or several hours, I show up at my desk and create. Some days it's just a simple sketch or mixing colors on my palette; other days, it's a complex mixed-media piece that takes hours. This dedication has taught me that creativity, like nature itself, thrives on consistency and nurturing.
“I spent the past year with nature as my muse because of my deep connection with the natural world. Using whatever materials spoke to me that day with the purpose of experimentation – watercolors, gouache, acrylic, micron pens, Posca pens, and sometimes found objects from my walks as my subject. Each piece tells the story of my growing relationship with nature, like entries in a visual diary that track both the changes in the world around me and my artistic journey.
“The more I create, the more I realize that my work isn't just about making art of nature. It's about recording those fleeting moments when everything feels connected – when the boundary between artist and environment blurs, and I feel part of something bigger than myself. Through my art, I invite others to slow down and rediscover that sense of wonder we sometimes lose in our busy lives, to find their own quiet conversation with the natural world.”
