Sulfur Studios has teamed up with Green Truck pub

to present the Drive Thru Art Box.

The Drive Thru Art Box was started in 2012 by Matt Hebermehl and Mike Williams as part of the SeeSAW (See Savannah Art Walls) Project, a public arts initiative. Jessica Leigh Lebos led the way with the first yarn bomb installation. Sulfur Studios is proud to continue this unique way of presenting public art to the local community.

Located in the bustling parking lot of Green Truck Pub, the box is ideal for showing mounted prints of 2-dimensional work, wheat pasted prints, site specific installations, and any other artistic medium that can hold up to direct sunlight and a non climate-controlled environment. Pegboard and hooks allows for flexibility of display options, and LED lighting ensures the work is visible for late night crowds.

proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.

please email a short proposal that includes:

  • A description of the work and how you intend it to be displayed.

  • A short artist statement and/or bio

  • 3-5 images of your work. These images do not need to be the exact work you will put in the box, but should show the style and quality of your work.

Email proposals to: info@sulfurstudios.org

The Drive Thru Art Box is currently booked through April, 2022.

Things to note:

The interior of the box is 45” x 80” x 6” deep. Each window opening is 23.5” x 43”

There is no cost to submit a proposal, but artists are responsible for the materials and supplies to produce their project.

The Drive Thru Art Box gets direct morning sun, and the interior will often be humid.

Sulfur Studios will promote the project on their website, social media and local press.

Sulfur Studios will handle any sales, but work does not need to be for sale to be considered.
