SIP is an exhibition celebrating the ceramic arts, and an extraordinary display of the often overlooked cup.
SIP: A Ceramic Cup Show 2022 exhibition, is Savannah Clay Community’s 7th annual national exhibition featuring around 200 functional ceramic cups, mugs, yunomi and more from clay artists across the country. It shows the diversity of drinking vessels as an art form and allows visitors to become owners of hand-crafted ceramics. All cup sales benefit each artist, and a percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Emmaus House to help provide nourishment for the hungry in Savannah.
This year the exhibition will be held at Sulfur Studios and on Savannah Clay Community’s website. Visitors to the gallery and website are encouraged to browse the numerous vessels we have available. Each piece is credited for what it is - a work of art and will contain information such as the name of the artist, dimensions, and numerous POV perspective images. All displayed works are available for purchase. We encourage everyone who takes part in supporting SIP to email us images of their acquired works of art to be featured on our website once they receive them.
The Savannah Clay Community is an organization formed to build strength and support for all ceramicists within Savannah by encouraging the promotion, growth and education of the ceramic arts. It recognizes and aids the development of emerging and established ceramicists in Savannah and encourages the local creative economy to give artists more opportunities to earn income from their artwork.
