Pinhole Camera Workshop

Spend a day in The Photo Ark learning about analog photography and storytelling. Bring a friend and be ready to learn about one another, record stories, build your own camera and take pictures.

Every participant will leave with at least one direct positive print made in the darkroom, and have the opportunity to share their work in a Pop Up Exhibit during First Fridays in Starland on April 1st.

Age 10+

Itinerary:

12 - 1:30PM: Intros - Look at prints and cameras. Learn more about the Photo Ark. Split up into groups of 2 and record a story!

1:30 - 2:15PM: Build Pinhole cameras and go over some photography basics

2:15 - 3:45PM: Snack / Break / Chat / Questions / or go off and shoot!

3:45 - 4:30PM: Pinhole camera shooting time! Each participant will have the opportunity to make 5 images and develop them in the darkroom

4:30 - 5PM: Regroup - Everyone shares images and stories from the day

* Prints will need to dry overnight - print pick up is on the Sunday following the workshop from 12 - 5PM.
