"Every Third Wednesday - Selected Work From the Photo Critique Group"

The gallery at Sulfur Studios presents Every Third Wednesday: Selected Work from the Photo Group Critique. The Reception on September 6th from 6 – 9PM is in conjunction with First Fridays in Starland.

For the last two years, the Photo Group Critique has been held the third Wednesday of every month in the Annex at Sulfur Studios, hosted by studio co-owner Emily Earl and Georgia Southern professor Bridget Conn. Photographers are encouraged to bring work that is ideally in-progress for friendly and constructive feedback. In approximately the last year, the group has found a solid footing, with about ten photographers returning each month to share work, while always welcoming new members to join.

The photographers featured in this exhibition all have very different photographic backgrounds; some work with strictly digital or analog camera capture, some build their own cameras, and some don’t use cameras at all to produce their photographic work. In addition to presenting a diverse exhibition of work, the members themselves have diverse backgrounds and include a sound engineer, city alderman, café manager, liquor distiller, former gallery owner, among others.

Every Third Wednesday is on display from September 5th - 14th 2019 and may be seen during Sulfur Studios’ regular business hours Thursday through Saturday from noon – 5PM or by appointment.
