"Secrets Behind Closed Doors" Curated by Dandi Gu


“Secrets Behind Closed Doors,” a Folk Art Exhibition is curated by Dandi Gu, who is an M.A Candidate majoring in SCAD Business Design & Arts Leadership Department at Savannah College of Art and Design. 

"Secrets Behind Closed Doors" is Susan Martinez’s first solo exhibition, which demonstrates American family stories, daily life, landscapes, and folkways. Susan reuses abandoned construction wood to create new artworks, and storytelling a new vision of reality, the story of the 1950’s and 1960’s in America when people were afraid as a country, to tell the truth about what was happening behind closed doors. 

“Secrets Behind Closed Doors” is on display from March 2nd through March 4th. There will also be an Opening Reception is on Friday, March 2nd from 6-9 p.m. during First Fridays in Starland.

Artist Talk is on March 3rd, Saturday, from 2-3pm.
